Patriotism and ditty bags go together perfectly! I stitched this bag using motifs from several different designers on a hand-dyed murky blue linen. It is lined with a beautiful black and taupe fabric and backed with a pretty brown fabric. I added a bronze safety pin with several mother of pearl buttons and tiny charm. I think ditty bags are my favorite thing to make! I’ve made several different versions of this bird bag but this is my favorite so far. The bag is lined with a beautiful red floral print with a 14” long gold strap. I added a bronze safety pin, several mother of pearl buttons and a tiny bronze charm. ***Pending***Queen Bee Pinkeep Drum

Bees are everywhere this time of year and it seems that this year there are more than ever! I’m really excited about the way this drum turned out! She’s a queen of course, her crown shows her royalty. I added two glass head pins, a few straight pins, a pretty gold pin to match her crown, a bee charm, and some mother of pearl buttons. *** SOLD***Patriotic Stitchers’ Basket

I love making these sweet baskets! I used a pattern by Heartstring Samplery to stitch these patriotic flowers. The basket is made from a papier-mâché box that I padded and covered in fabric that is printed with words from the Constitution of the United States. I stitched tiny little xs around the top and down the side. I added some glass head pins, mother of pearl buttons and a tiny scissor charm. I am also including a pair of silver stork scissors and a velvet strawberry fob. It is approximately 4 1/2” x 2”. Kindly asking $80.00 and $7.50 for shipping.

***SOLD***Quaker Pinkeep Drum

I love stitching Quaker designs and thought this one would be perfect for St. Patrick’s Day! The drum is 3 1/2” wide by 3 1/4” tall. I stitched it using a pretty green silk floss. The bottom and sides were made using a pretty, aged, dark green print from my stash. I added a cinnamon colored cording around the top, a safety pin with an antique bone button, and two bronze charms. I also added two antique glass swirl pins to the top. Vintage Baking Tin Pinkeep

I have collected these antique baking tins for years. This one is 3.5” long x 3” wide. I used a pretty red print fabric I had in my stash and stuffed it firmly with wool scraps. It is firmly attached to the tin. I added two black straight pins, a silver heart charm, and a mother of pearl button. I stitched another antique button to the center. I love using antique quilts in my creations. The quilt I used for this was one that had seen better days. The quilt was over 100 years old and showing a lot of wear so I salvaged what I could to make these wonderful pinkeeps. I can only imagine the history this quilt has! The pinkeep is a beautiful tan and cream color embellished with mother-of-pearl buttons, an antique brown flower button, and vintage glass-head pins. Around the quilt, I stitched antique ric-rac and then added glass beads to that. There is also a small cream colored crocheted flower under the button. The pinkeep is 5” long and filled with wool scraps and sits firmly in a dark blue and tan fabric covered papier-mâché lid. I love using antique quilts in my creations. The quilt I used for this was one that had seen better days. The quilt was over 100 years old and showing a lot of wear so I salvaged what I could to make these wonderful pinkeeps. I can only imagine the history this quilt has! The pinkeep is a beautiful tan and cream color embellished with mother-of-pearl buttons, a tiny bronze heart charm, and vintage glass-head pins. I stitched some cording I made around the pinkeep. It is firmly stuffed with wool scraps and sits in an old baking tin that I found at an antique shop. I am including the tiny 1” wool strawberry fob I made and the tiny silver scissors.
