Velvet Heart Bowl Filler

I have been collecting antiques since I was a young girl and have always loved these frozen doll heads from Germany. I can imagine a young child playing with their dolls so tenderly as they were originally created as bath toys because they floated. They were also baked in cakes and other desserts and were considered to bring good luck to the person who was given the piece with the frozen Charlotte inside. They were very inexpensive at the time so many people could afford them. Now, they are more difficult to find and can be quite expensive. I found this beautiful velvet at an antique show and saved it until I could find the perfect thing to use it for. These pinkeeps are one of my favorites to create. It is approximately 5” x 3 1/2” and firmly stuffed with sawdust. I added a stiffened bow, and some glass head pins. These are beautiful in a bowl with other pinkeeps or small handwork. Kindly asking $68.00. Shipping is on me. (Bow colors might vary)
