*** SOLD***Handsewn Wool and Batik Fabric Japanese Rice Bag/Pouch with Wool Needle Book

The second bag/pouch available is completely all handsewn except lining I did sew it by machine. This small but mighty and fun rice bag is made out of overdyed wool with all sides having handsewn laces and beads added here and there. The lining is made out of a beautiful batik fabric. The sides of the bag measure 4 1/2” x4 1/2”. The ties are made using sari ribbon . I didn’t use a pattern for these pouches. I simply cut the pieces of wool and started to sew them. The bag/pouch will come with its own hand sewn needle book made with the same overdyed wool for the cover and a piece of rust dyed cotton fabric toweling for the inside lining! The needle book measures 3 1/2” x 4” when closed and is 7” when opened. I think this little bag is great for a small stitching projects, small knitting projects, threads you’d like to use or even a make up bag! It’s very soft and tactile as I did not add any interfacing to it . I hope you can see all the lovely stitches I’ve made and all the beads I’ve added plus the many hours I put into making them. There are lots more pics on my Facebook and instagram pages. I will add as many as I can here please click on the main image so can see the other pics I’ve posted. Autumn Bird Pinkeep Drum

I really love creating pinkeep drums for my wool appliqué and cross stitch finishes. This one was no exception! This is a sweet design by Blackbird Designs. I loved this one so much because I feel it’s something that could be left out for several months starting in the spring and going through the fall. It measures approximately 4” across by 3” tall. I love adding Mother of Pearl buttons from my collection and felt they were a perfect complement to this sweet design. I also added a few glass-head pins and a sweet flower pin. Old Golry Bowl Filler

Old Glory is showing her proud star formation of 1776. The color fabrics are a combination of hand-dyed wool and cotton twill tape. The stitching is done with cotton thread. The front base fabric is loose woven linen dipped in a coffee bath and the back fabric is hand- dyed deep red wool. There is an inner pillow stuffed with wool from Pennsylvania. I included an inner pillow so that the stuffing would not come through the loose woven linen. Old Glory measures approximately 8 x 6 inches. There are 2 available.
