I think ditty bags are my favorite thing to make! I’ve made several different versions of this bird bag but this is my favorite so far. The bag is lined with a beautiful red floral print with a 14” long gold strap. I added a bronze safety pin, several mother of pearl buttons and a tiny bronze charm. Floral Pinkeep Drum

I had so much fun creating this drum! I used a design by Blackbird Designs for the sides and a pretty deep red flannel fabric for the top and bottom. I added a strawberry to the top that I created with a pretty fabric from my stash, several glass-head pins, a bird charm, and mother of pearl button. It is firmly stuffed with sawdust. It is approximately 2.5” across x 3.5” tall. Kindly asking $65.00 and $6.50 for travel fare.

PendingQueen Bee Pinkeep Drum

Bees are everywhere this time of year and it seems that this year there are more than ever! I’m really excited about the way this drum turned out! She’s a queen of course, her crown shows her royalty. I added two glass head pins, a few straight pins, a pretty gold pin to match her crown, a bee charm, and some mother of pearl buttons. * SOLD*Patriotic Stitchers’ Basket

I love making these sweet baskets! I used a pattern by Heartstring Samplery to stitch these patriotic flowers. The basket is made from a papier-mâché box that I padded and covered in fabric that is printed with words from the Constitution of the United States. I stitched tiny little xs around the top and down the side. I added some glass head pins, mother of pearl buttons and a tiny scissor charm. I am also including a pair of silver stork scissors and a velvet strawberry fob. It is approximately 4 1/2” x 2”. Kindly asking $80.00 and $7.50 for shipping.

Tomato Pinkeep DrumSOLD

This tomato pinkeep drum is adapted from a Prairie Schooler design, and is stitched with overdyed threads on linen, and firmly stuffed with a mix of sawdust, and crushed walnut shells. The sides and bottom are 2 coordinating Moda fabrics, and I’ve added a few glass head pins and black mourning pins. I’ve attached a vintage bone button to the top from which hang 2 tiny fobs which are firmly filled with crushed walnut shells. The tomato measures about 3/4” in diameter and the strawberry is about 1” long. The drum measures 3 1/4” in diameter, about 2 11/2” tall, and comes signed and dated. Round Red Sampler DrumSOLD

This drum is a Heart in Hand design, stitched with silk threads on linen, and is firmly stuffed with a mix of sawdust, and crushed walnut shells. The sides and bottom are 2 coordinating Moda fabrics, and I’ve added a few glass head pins, black mourning pins, and a few vintage buttons. The drum measures 4”in diameter, about 2 1/2” tall, and comes signed and dated. It has a small pair of scissors and fob made with vintage buttons and beeswax, so you can wax your threads when stitching. I’ve attached a hook on the side of the drum which holds your scissors. Thimble Purses*BOTH SOLD***

These little Thimble Purse Necklaces are stitched on linen with overdyed threads, and are fully lined with a coordinating fabric. The designs are by Brenda Gervais, and they’re completely hand stitched and sewn. They each have a tiny strawberry emery measuring just under 1”, that is firmly stuffed with crushed walnut shells. The purses are very tiny, and measure 3” high from the top of the clasp, 2 1/4” across at the bottom, and the clasp is only 1 1/2” wide. Each comes with its own vintage thimble, and has hemp cording so that you can wear it as a necklace if desired. This is a set of pincushions designed by Brenda Gervais. They’re stitched on linen with overdyed threads, and are all firmly stuffed with a mix of sawdust and crushed walnut shells. Each one has a tiny tomato fob attached that measures about 3/4” across, and is firmly stuffed with crushed walnut shells. The edges are all finished by hand with vintage dyed rickrack, and they have a few glass head pins. #3 has 11 vintage pearl buttons stiched on. This is such a sweet bird and the colors are so perfect for spring! I love this finish for smaller designs! The rectangle pinkeep is approximately 6” long by 2 1/2” wide. I added an antique hat pin to the top and some beautiful antique blue braid along the edges of the piece, both from my collection.
