The design I used on this Huswife is from Plum Street Samplers “My Pretties”, stitched with overdyed threads on “Witches Brew” linen by Dames of the Needle. I used 2 great coordinating Moda fabrics, and black rayon ribbon wraps around an antique button to close it. I’ve added 3 bone rings to hold your threads, a black wool strip for your needles, and 2 old pearl buttons are attached with a safety pin. The pocket is nice and deep to hold your scissors, extra threads, and other notions. Measurements are 7” x 12 1/2” and when rolled it measures 7” x 4 1/4”. This sweet pumpkin, a design by SubRosa, was stitched on 35 count overdyed linen in black, and I used a great coordinating fabric with an antique button for the bottom. It is firmly stuffed, has a real pumpkin stem, and comes signed and dated. It measures 5” across, and is about 3 1/2” tall to the top of the stem. Travel fare is $8.00. This sweet drum is from the Blackbird Designs book “And Blossoms as The Rose “. It measures 2 1/2” in diameter, and 1 3/4” high. Stitched on Dames of The Needle linen “Lush Meadow “, it is firmly stuffed with a mix of sawdust, crushed walnut shells, and lavender, giving it a nice soft scent, and it comes signed and dated. The drum comes in it’s own embossed box, which I painted, sanded and waxed, giving it a nice vintage look, and measures 2 3/4” square by 2” high. Travel fare is $8.00.
