Bunny Drum PinkeepSOLD

This drum is an adaptation of a Blackbird Designs chart. It’s stitched with overdyed threads on linen, and is firmly stuffed with a mix of sawdust, crushed walnut shells, and a small amount of lavender, giving it a nice soft scent. The sides and bottom are a Moda fabric, and I’ve added a few glass head pins, black mourning pins, a few vintage buttons, and a bunny charm. The Beeswax Bunny Waxer is included. The drum measures 3 1/2” in diameter, a little more than 2 1/2” tall, and comes signed and dated. Travel fare is $12. with tracking from Canada. Please click on the photo to see additional picture. Robin Nest ***SOLD”

***SOLD*** Spring is just around the corner, and this robin has a head start building the necessary nest. This is another collaboration with my friend Jo Scholl who created the cross stitch robin and egg, using a design from Bent Creek. I then took the piece and added the needle punch "Spring", crafted a prim bird nest by needle felting raw wool and little sticks onto the background and then mounted the piece on old wood found on our farm. SOLDQuaker Pinkeep Drum

I love stitching Quaker designs and thought this one would be perfect for St. Patrick’s Day! The drum is 3 1/2” wide by 3 1/4” tall. I stitched it using a pretty green silk floss. The bottom and sides were made using a pretty, aged, dark green print from my stash. I added a cinnamon colored cording around the top, a safety pin with an antique bone button, and two bronze charms. I also added two antique glass swirl pins to the top. Sold, Thank you1834 Pinkeep Drum

I love making drum pinkeeps and this tiny one was no exception. The design is by Blackbird Designs called Vintage Pincushion that I adapted and made into a drum. It’s tiny, only 2 3/4” tall x 2” wide. I aged the drum to make it look old and hand stitched chenille trim around the top and bottom. I added an antique glass swirl pin and two antique mother of pearl buttons. I also created a matching wool strawberry scissor fob and added a tiny pair of scissors. Valentine’s Heart Measuring Tapes. ALL SOLD

These Valentines Day measuring tapes are stitched with overdyed threads on linen, and the sides and backs of each are 2 different coordinating fabrics. Valentine’s Needle BookSOLD

Valentine’s “Pins For You” Needlebook, which I adapted from a design by Paola Ferrante, is stitched with overdyed threads on overdyed linen. It is completely padded inside and out, and I’ve used 2 coordinating Moda fabrics for the inside and back. The inside has an appliquéd layered wool heart at the top and 2 wool layers to hold all of your needles. I’ve added a few glass head pins, and a charm, and it closes with a vintage shoe button.. Valentine’s Scissors FobsALL .SOLD

These Valentines scissors fobs, which can also be used as ornaments, are all stitched on either 36 and 40 count overdyed linen with overdyed threads, and the backs are a reproduction fabric. I’ve added a layer of batting to both the front and back, and they have glass head pins firmly imbedded around the edges, and a charm at the tip. Each one measures 1 1/2” across, 7/16” thick, and 1 5/8” from the top to the bottom, not including the charm, and they come with a pair of scissors. I have them numbered from 1-6. Hand in Hand Sold

***Sold*** Partnered with Jo Scholl to create this heirloom beauty that measures 14" H x 8" W. Jo does the cross stitch (design comes from Love Letters by Heart in Hand), and she used overdyed aida fabric. I pull together the design with wool applique and added a bit more grunge.
