Vintage Sugar Bowl Pincushion *SOLD**

I love repurposing my vintage finds, and when I spotted this petite lidded sugar bowl, I knew it would make a great pincushion. It is silver, with a great patina, and measures only 2 1/2” in diameter. The design is from a Sue Hillis Designs chart, and is stitched on 40 count linen with silk threads, and the lace is from an old doily which I dyed to match. Easter Egg Measuring TapesALL SOLD

I created these Egg shaped measuring tapes with Easter in mind. Each one is different and unique, with a cross stitched top, and 2 coordinating fabrics used for the sides and bottom. Both the tops and bottoms are lightly padded with cotton batting. Measurements are 3”high, 2 1/8” wide, and about 5/8” deep. Price is for each tape, and travel fare is $8.00. Nantucket Heart Basket

This has been my favorite finish this month! I think I’m pretty smitten with these Nantucket Style baskets and love stitching sweet designs for the inside. This particular design was stitched using a pattern from a book by Blackbird Designs. I added a tiny pair of scissors with a sweet plump strawberry that is filled with wool scraps and is the perfect size for my little basket. It is 51/2” long x 5” wide. I think the sweet Mother of Pearl button adds to its sweetness. I added a tiny velvet strawberry that is filled with wool scraps and is removable from the basket. Spring Welcome Cross Stitch Hanger

I cross stitched this piece on aged aida cloth quite a few years ago. It sat forgotten until now and I'm happy to say I just love how the finish came together. I've created a lightly stuffed pillow hanger for it with drab hand dyed Dorr wool. It's trimmed with cut woolen flowers and I added a braided wool hanger to it. About seven inches long, not including the hanger. It will be shipped via first class mail unless you request otherwise. Valentine Heart NeedlebookBoth Sold

These Valentines Heart Needlebooks are stitched with overdyed threads on 35 count overdyed linen. They are completely padded inside and out, and I’ve used 2 coordinating Moda fabrics for each one. The inside has a pocket to hold a tiny pair of scissors (2 1/2”) on one side, and on the other side there is a layered wool heart for your needles and pins.. I’ve added a few glass head pins, and a tiny heart charm, and some vintage rayon binding for the ties. Measurements are 3 3/4” wide, and 3 1/2” high, and travel fare is 8.00. Valentine Scissor FobsAll Sold

These Valentines scissors fobs, which can also be used as ornaments, are all stitched on 36 and 40 count overdyed linen with overdyed threads, and the backs are a reproduction fabric. They are light weight wood discs to which I added a layer of batting, and covered, and they have hand dyed twill tape around the edge with glass head pins firmly imbedded. Some have either an old shoe button or charm added. Each one measures 1 1/2” across, and 1 5/8” from the top to the bottom, not including the charm.
