Mouse Pinkeep

These sweet pumpkins are perfect for the season with that adorable mouse sitting on top! I have several of these available. The stems are real pumpkin stems so they will all be slightly different. The mouse is made from mohair and the pumpkin is a pretty cotton quilting fabric with a print that resembles tiny cross stitches. SOLD Thank You Autumn Birdsong Pinkeep Drum

Another finish for me this week! This is Autumn Birdsong by Samplers and Stitches. It is stitched on 40 count Duxbury by Fox and Rabbit using most of the called for threads. I’m thrilled with how this drum came out! She’s pretty large and a little heavy as it’s filled with sawdust. The little adorable pumpkin pin is by @pinkdragonflycrafts on Etsy. I made the candy corn pin and added a few more glass head pins and a sweet owl charm. It is approximately 5” across x 3” tall. Kindly asking $110.00 and $10.00 for shipping.

Remembrance Flag Pincushion

Grateful...In Remembrance. These are the words written on this Americana Memorial Day basket filler or pincushion. Reproduction cotton fabrics and coffee-dyed muslin have been sewn together and then stuffed with Pennsylvania wool. I hope it serves as a reminder to honor in our hearts those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom across our world. The item measures 7 inches by 4 1/2 inches. Spring is finally here! I created these super sweet chicks using a pattern by Cheswick Company on Etsy. They are made from mohair and sit happily on a wool tuffet. I created a cute glass ladybug pin and added it and a few other glass-head pins to the pincushion. I also added a cute frog charm. These sweet bunnies are always so much fun to create! This guy and his tuffet are made from 100% wools using a pattern by Cheswick Company. He is 7” tall and is firmly stuffed with polyfil and fabric scraps. He is sporting a cream bow and he is holding his favorite snack, a bright orange wool carrot. This is the sweetest pattern by Needle Treasures Nook on Etsy. I really enjoyed stitching this one using Gloriana silk floss. It is approximately 4.5" across x 2.5" high. I firmly stuffed it with sawdust to keep your pins and needles sharp. I added lots of green to this sweet drum! I made a pin using an antique mesh shamrock from the 1950's and added it to the top of the drum. I added a green antique glass swirl pin, a few green glass-head pins, an antique button from my collection and a bronze Victorian heart in hand charm. I loved stitching this sweet bunny! It is a part of a pattern by Threadwok Primitives called Bloom Sampler. It is 4” across by 2” tall. I used a super sweet yellow cotton for the sides and bottom. It is firmly stuffed with sawdust. I added a bronze hummingbird charm, an antique glass swirl pin, an antique button from my collection, and three pink glass head pins. SOLD Wool and Velvet Sock Kitty Pinpoke

I’ve created this sweet and whimsical piece using one of my favorite wool sock kitties. He’s stitched from black wool and has a braided wool tail. His eyes are vintage buttons and his facial features are hand stitched. He is stitched atop one of my vintage velvet pin tuffets. A velvet heart hangs from his neck, as well as a hank of buttons and vintage key. About 9 inches tall and 6 inches across. It will come signed and dated. Velvet Heart Bowl Filler

I have been collecting antiques since I was a young girl and have always loved these frozen doll heads from Germany. I can imagine a young child playing with their dolls so tenderly as they were originally created as bath toys because they floated. They were also baked in cakes and other desserts and were considered to bring good luck to the person who was given the piece with the frozen Charlotte inside. They were very inexpensive at the time so many people could afford them. Now, they are more difficult to find and can be quite expensive. I found this beautiful velvet at an antique show and saved it until I could find the perfect thing to use it for. These pinkeeps are one of my favorites to create. It is approximately 5” x 3 1/2” and firmly stuffed with sawdust. I added a stiffened bow, and some glass head pins. These are beautiful in a bowl with other pinkeeps or small handwork.
