Sold out! Snowman Pincushion

If primitive blues and snowmen make you smile, I’ve got you covered! I took a piece of old toweling with a worn out spot (I love those little spots in old textiles, don’t you?) and stitched a snowman wearing a top hat. I hope the camera lens was able to pick up the distinction between embroidery threads and the background toweling as some areas are very close in value to each other. Then I stitched the piece of toweling to a really sweet blue cotton print. All of the fabrics have been slightly aged for a vintage look. Stuffed with scraps of wool and cotton. The pincushion is signed by me on a piece of twill tape sewn to the underside. The piece nicely doubles as a bowl filler. It measures approximately 5 inches by 6 inches. The price is $38 and that includes shipping. There are two available so you can choose “A” or “B”. Scroll through photos to see both choices. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Holidays!

*** Sold thank you***Blue and tan Antique Quilt Pinkeep

I love using antique quilts in my creations. The quilt I used for this was one that had seen better days. The quilt was over 100 years old and showing a lot of wear so I salvaged what I could to make these wonderful pinkeeps. I can only imagine the history this quilt has! The pinkeep is a beautiful tan and cream color embellished with mother-of-pearl buttons, an antique brown flower button, and vintage glass-head pins. Around the quilt, I stitched antique ric-rac and then added glass beads to that. There is also a small cream colored crocheted flower under the button. The pinkeep is 5” long and filled with wool scraps and sits firmly in a dark blue and tan fabric covered papier-mâché lid. I am including the tiny 1” wool strawberry fob I made and the tiny bronze scissors. Kindly asking $65.00 and $7.50 for travel fare.
