Patriotic Pinkeeps

These pinkeeps are perfect for summer stitching! Each one was made with 3 different patriotic prints. They are 4” square and 1” thick. They are firmly stuffed with wood shavings and crushed walnut shells. The fabric covered button on top has a magnet to hold your pins and needles. I added a wool scalloped flower to each one, two are from a vintage army blanket and one is a pretty blue wool. I also added eagle charms and matching glass head straight pins. Napping KittyPincushionBOTH SOLD

These sweet kitties were made using a design by Rock River Stitches. They’re made completely of wool, with Valdani threads used for the stitching, as well as for the ball of yarn. They’re firmly stuffed, and I’ve also added some crushed walnut shells for weight, and to help keep your needles sharp. They measure 4 1/2” in diameter, and about 3 1/2” high. Travel fare for each one is nine dollars without tracking, and $15 if you would like tracking added. Each one has three matching wool covered pins and a charm added. Heart Bowl Filler or Pincushion

***Sold! Thank you! ***The soft vintage greens in this piece speak Spring. The heart is made from hand dyed linen and is stuffed with local wool. Cut from a piece of beautiful reproduction fabric is a spring posy in shades of deep dusty pinks and muted reds. The flower applique is secured with a row of cross stitches using cotton thread. A vintage green bow and vintage button complete the look. A cotton loop can be used for hanging and is shown in one of the photos. If the loop is not needed it can be tucked to the back with a pin and will be hidden from view. The heart is almost 7 inches tall and 5 inches across at the widest point. I am asking $20 which includes shipping. It will be packaged carefully and promptly shipped from a smoke and pet free home.

Strawberry

***Sold! Thank you!***Pen wipes were common desk items in vintage times when dip and fountain pens were used. Fashioned with a decoration the base was used to blot the pen before writing. They were often given as gifts. I'm offering a strawberry pen wipe which could also be used as a pincushion. All made from hand dyed wools. The base is made of three layers of wool shaped like a leaf and stitched together by hand. Sitting on top the green leaves is a red strawberry with green cap and stem with hand stitched black "seeds" in an "x" pattern all over. The berry is stuffed with wool. The leaves measure about 6 x 4". The berry is about 3" long, not including the stem. I'm kindly asking $30.00 which includes shipping. Mouse and Coverlet Heart Pincushion SOLD

I’ve stitched this heart from coverlet fabric and added one of my tiny plush mice. It has a linen tuffet stitched to the front and is trimmed with vintage buttons, rusty bell, and vintage thread. It hangs by a braided woolen cord. About 12 inches long, not including the cord. SOLDWool Punched Shamrock Pinkeep

I love how this turned out. It looks like I could have found it in a box of treasures at an antique store. The shamrock is created by rug punching with hand dyed and aged 100% wool yarn, so the variation in shades is charming. The background is an open weave linen from Scotland. The shamrock is surrounded by a wreath of cross stitches worked in cotton thread. The back is a piece of reproduction fabric and bears my signature. It is firmly stuffed with local carded wool so if using as a pinkeep, your pins will stay sharp and rust free. The height is about two inches and the circumference is almost six inches.

Wool Black Cat

A little wool cat in hand-dyed antique black with a hand stitched face and stuffed with wool batting. You may not be able to see in the photo so I will mention that I have stitched by hand around the entire cat body with a variegated dark thread to add a final primitive touch to the piece. This item was designed and created by me. Perfect size to be a cute addition to your sewing basket as a pincushion or as an addition to your autumn decor. Sold ***Crow Pincushion

Wool is one of my favorite fabrics to work with. This sweet crow pincushion is made entirely of wool. The crow is black with black and white stiffened wings. He is proudly perched on a stick. He has a glass pumpkin charm in his beak and the word crow, spelled out in beads is securely attached to the gray wool pumpkin. The pumpkin stem is a real stem that I dried from last year’s Halloween pumpkins. I attached a wire tendril near the stem and added two pins to the pumpkin. It stands approximately 6” tall.
