Wool is one of my favorite fabrics to work with. This sweet crow pincushion is made entirely of wool. The crow is black with black and white stiffened wings. He is proudly perched on a stick. He has a glass pumpkin charm in his beak and the word crow, spelled out in beads is securely attached to the gray wool pumpkin. The pumpkin stem is a real stem that I dried from last year’s Halloween pumpkins. I attached a wire tendril near the stem and added two pins to the pumpkin. It stands approximately 6” tall. This sweet little cream mohair chick is perfect for spring. The base of the pinkeep is light blue wool with a pink wool flower and vintage ric-rac trim. I added clear glass beads on every flower petal. The chick is made from mohair, she has glass eyes, and a pink bow around her neck. Spring is finally here! These sweet rabbit pinkeeps were made using dark brown wool fabrics with cream polka-dot wool for their ears. They sit on wool tuffets holding bright orange carrots that were just picked from the garden. They are 7" tall from the bottom of their tuffets to the tip of their ears. They are firmly stuffed with polyester stuffing and their tuffets are packed tightly with pine shavings. They are wearing bows around their necks and their tails are vintage buttons. I added a tiny flower charm and glass beads on a safety pin, two Easter egg pins made by me, and a really sweet hand-sculpted carrot by Pink Dragonfly Crafts on Etsy. I absolutely love how this Pinkeep turned out! I used a pattern called Quilts and Quakers by La D Da to stitch and create this drum. I changed the colors that were called for to more muted colors that are in my favorite color palette. It is backed by a gorgeous red print by French General called Chafarcani. I packed it tightly with sawdust and added two black glass head pins and 3 vintage bronze bells. This drum is large, it measures approximately 6” across x 2 1/2” high.
