I love every single design from Blackbird Designs and I’m so happy I picked this one to stitch for this Halloween! It’s a big one! It is approximately 5” wide x 3” tall. I used a beautiful gray velvet for the sides and a black printed fabric from my stash on the bottom and some antique ricrac trim. The bone button and shoe button are antiques from my great Uncle’s thread mill in Fall River, Massachusetts that I visited often as a young girl. It is firmly stuffed with sawdust and crushed walnut shells. I added several glass-head pins, two that I created and one very special cauldron pin that I purchased specifically for this. I think I could get addicted to making these tomatoes! They are made using the softest wools. Each tomato has a handmade tomato pinkeep pin, a mother of pearl button, thimble charm, and a black glass head pin. I created a matching strawberry fob and added a cute pair of scissors to go with them. They come in solid red wool, or red with black checks. Please indicate the color ribbon, cream or blue, and check or solid wool. I have two of each. Please, no orders at this time. The tomato measures approximately 5” x 4”.
