SOLD Quillie Wool Strawberry MakeDo

This is one of my fun rolled wool quillie creations, created with strips of wool rolled together. They combined quite nicely to complete this beautiful strawberry makedo. There are countless hours of work rolling and assembling this piece. The quillies are applied to the wool strawberry, and the green woolen stem is cut from army blanket wool. Its mounted on a heavy pewter candlestick base. I’ve added a vintage repro strawberry seed tag. A one of a kind treasure that should bring you joy for many years to come! How sweet are these tiny bunnies?! I really enjoyed stitching this one. I used a beautiful French General fabric from my stash for the side and bottom and stitched some tiny cross stitches around the top and bottom edge. I added some glass-head pins to the top along with Mother of Pearl buttons, an antique pink glass swirl pin, and a tiny wool strawberry. Heart in Hand pincushion

**SOLD**…and thank you♥️ I parted with a piece of my long treasured linsey woolsey milled in PA to make the applique stitched hand. The edges of the design were left raw and I love the time worn effect. I hope you do too. Accenting the design is a row of primly stitched "x"s on both ends. The background fabric was originally a dark tan cotton linen blend before the aging process. It appears slightly darker in person than the photo reveals.This piece can be used as a pincushion due to its 100% wool stuffing, or a prim bowl filler. Fall is my favorite season so I had to create some pumpkins and crows for this update. These sweet pumpkin and crow pinkeeps are made from 100% wool and firmly stuffed with polyfil. I added some beads that spell out the word crow, some glass head pins and three black vintage straight pins. The pumpkin stem is a real stem from pumpkins my kids grew in our garden several years ago. They are approximately 5” tall x 5” wide. I have three of these available. I absolutely loved stitching this sweet Christmas bird! The colors are so vibrant, perfect for Christmas. This one is approximately 3.5” across x 3” tall.
