This Brenda Gervais Design “Jingle All The Way”, is stitched on 35 count linen with overdyed threads. I’ve mounted it over padded chipboard and attached it to the lid of a shaker box, adding old stained chenille trim around the edge. This is a beautiful handmade shaker box with copper nails, that I had picked up at an estate sale. It had been filled with potpourri, and still has the soft scent inside when opened. It has the original green stain, that’s been waxed and polished, and I’ve added a removable padded insert on the inside. It measures 5 1/4” long, 3 1/2” wide, is 3 1/4 “ high. This festive drum is a Stacy Nash design, stitched on a beautiful green linen using overdyed threads. Measuring 3 1/2” in diameter, and 3” tall, it is firmly stuffed with a mixture of sawdust, crushed walnut shells, and lavender giving it a nice soft scent. Here’s my final Halloween stitch for this year...”Nevermore” by Prairie Schooler, stitched with overdyed threads on Dames of The Needle linen “Witches Brew”. The front and back of this rectangular pinwheel are laced over padded chipboard, with a thick layer of wool felt and dyed black twill tape between to hold your pins. I’ve added 24 black head pins, and a black bone ring with vintage rayon ribbon. Also included is the pure beeswax thread waxer. It measures 3 3/4” by 2 3/4” and travel fare is $7.00.
