My folky and sweet little bee dolls have been stitched from muslin and stuffed very firmly with fiberfil. They has been aged, painted, and finished for a perfect old time appearance. Their ruffled skirts are sewn from primitive ticking homespun. The wings are aged and wired cheescloth. They each hold a wee painted prim basket and wool daffodil. They have a perky little twig nose, beady eyes, and stitched mouth. The antenae are rusty curled wire. They stand on a chunky wooden base. Perfect to display year round. They are just about 10 inches tall, not including the antenae, and will come signed and dated. Created with many loving stitches in my smoke free home, a Sassafras Hill original. Miss Jane, a cloth doll.

Her body is made from old cotton and aged perfectly with charming signs of wear as if she was from years gone by. Her dress is made from an awesome reproduction print. All the visible stitching is by hand. Her dress has tiny stitches holding it together and in place. The dress does not come off. She's floppy and soft, stuffed just right, and ready to sit in a basket or lay down in a vintage cradle or wooden box. Approx. 10" long. Harriet

Harriet measures 11 inches tall and is stuffed with wool batting. All visible stitching is done by hand. Her hair is fashioned from a strip of dark brown wool fabric hand stitched to her head. Her dress is fashioned from reproduction civil war cotton fabric, gathered at the neckline, waistline, and hem sleeves with delicate small hand stitches. The dress hem is also stitched by hand. The fabrics used for the doll body and dress have been aged with dye with little worn spots added. Her sweet face was drawn with ink. She is signed with her name and my name as her creator. Betsy Primitive Cloth Doll

Betsy measures 8 inches tall and is stuffed with wool roving. Her face is delicately drawn with pencil and is barely visible as if loved off with lots of adoring kisses from her little girl. Her dress is simply fashioned with no frills from reproduction civil war cotton fabric. Her hair features a piece of wool roving sewn by hand to the top of her head while a piece of brown fabric covers the back of her head. The hem of her sleeves and the bottom of her dress are stitched by hand. She is signed with her name and my name as her creator. In her checked brown frock, Emma stands about 11 inches tall. Neckline, sleeve ends, and hem of frock are stitched by hand. With a simple sweet expression penciled in on her face, she would like to show you her precious cat. The cat is made from wool fabric and stuffedth wool batting. Their wings are natural osnaburg. They carry handmade flags. The blue star angel carries a prim painted basket and the red star angel carries a muslin banner.
