Valentine Doll

A sweet rag doll wearing a plain dress with a stitched heart. She is stuffed with "rags" and all visible stitching is done by hand. Her face has been drawn on and her hair is a strip of wool. Her stitched heart shows much brighter in the photo then it actually is. I've used some aging techniques to give the doll the appearance of having been lovingly played with in years past. Because of this you will notice that there are little places where the fabric has been worn out. These areas on the dress show much lighter in the photo then they actually are. She is 10 1/2 inches tall but does not stand by herself. Kindly asking $45 which includes shipping.

Girl and her Turkey doll SOLD! Thanks so much!

***SOLD! Thanks so much!*** Bringing home the turkey! Drawing on memories of when my children raised Thanksgiving turkeys, I created this sweet doll and her turkey. The turkey is removable so you can use her throughout the year. However, her hands are permanently joined. Stuffed with wool grown in Pennsylvania, her dress is made from 1800s repro cotton and her face and hair are stitched on by hand. As seen in the photo she stands about 10 inches tall. The turkey is also made from cotton fabric and stuffed with wool. The doll and turkey are my own design, marked with my initials, and made in my home. She has been aged a bit for character. Please take the time to scroll through her photos. This is for the doll and turkey only, not the props. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope she tugs at your heart like she does mine. *Kindly asking $65 which includes shipping*

Serenity Folk Doll

Some of my favorite antique cloth dolls are quite quirky and often their arms and legs don't match as a reminder that handmade dolls were made with love not necessarily great skill. Or maybe the doll met with an accident and had to undergo a repair. Serenity was made like that too. Her legs aren't the same length although you might not notice it because while she's sitting her long modest dress covers them. Her face and hair are drawn on rather than stitched. Her hair which is penciled in is faded and is hard to show in the photos but definitely there. As is usual with the construction of my dolls, the fabrics will show areas of age and some spots are worn away as if played with and loved for many years. She is 12 inches tall and filled with wool stuffing. Please view all the photos. I am kindly asking $55 which includes the shipping fee.

“Purdy” in Pink folk dol

Purdue in pink is made with all the things that make us love folk dolls: repro pink fabric, thick cotton thread for hair, and rosy cheeks. For even greater charm she shows “wear and tear” with small scuffs in her dress and body as if lovingly played with throughout the years. Of course she isn’t really old, just worked hard on her to make it look that way. She reaches nearly 11 inches tall. All visible stitching is sewn by hand. Kindly asking $48 which includes her shipping.

Uncle Sam to the rescue!

Uncle Sam stands 17” in full glory. He wears a pair of patriotic suspendered pants and in true fashion, his suspenders crisscross in the back. His black shoes peek out of his pants and his hat is made from white wool. He holds a beautiful American Flag. Sammy would make an awesome addition to any home!
