Primitive Paisley Santa

~please click image for more photos~ vintage paisley Santa has the most beautiful and warm coat. He can Hang or sit, whichever you prefer. His vintage quilt heart is attached with rusty safety pins, so that you may choose how to display him. He has loving details throughout. He measures about 31” high. His hood is stuffed, so that it always looks just right and you can see the most of the beautiful (walnut stained ) antique paisley that was used. Bears is stitched on. Primitive Black Pumpkin Stump Dolls

Just love this new pattern from Sweetpeas Primitives. I have made three for your to choose. These little girls are all made with painted, and sanded osnaburg fabric. I have stuffed them firmly so they stand nicely. I have added an apron of antique coverlet. They have wooden beads for their sweet smile.I have added some vintage ribbon. SOLD Primitive Sweet PumpkinHead Doll ONE

This prim pumpkinhead doll is stitched from linen and muslin. He is aged, painted, and then well sanded for a perfect old time appearance. He has a curly linen pumpkin stem stitched atop his head and a stitched nose and facial features. He has prim cotton pants and a flannel coat. A wool braid is wrapped around his neck. His waist is tied with a chunky piece of jute cord and a rusty jackolantern bell is tied on. His boots are painted and laced. He carries a prim stained wooden bucket. . He will come signed and dated. Witch Doll

This primitive witch doll was made with painted and distressed osnaburg fabrics. Her dress is made from quilt shop quality cotton. She measures 16.5" tall and approximately 6" wide. Little Pumpkin Dolls

These pumpkin dolls were made with painted and distressed muslin, brushed cotton and wool. Pumpkins are slightly weighted to stand on their own. They measure 8-10" tall depending on their stem. They are 5" wide at their widest. They have been embellished with a wool scarf, a tag that reads "FALL" and a real dried pumpkin stem. Serenity Folk Doll

Some of my favorite antique cloth dolls are quite quirky and often their arms and legs don't match as a reminder that handmade dolls were made with love not necessarily great skill. Or maybe the doll met with an accident and had to undergo a repair. Serenity was made like that too. Her legs aren't the same length although you might not notice it because while she's sitting her long modest dress covers them. Her face and hair are drawn on rather than stitched. Her hair which is penciled in is faded and is hard to show in the photos but definitely there. As is usual with the construction of my dolls, the fabrics will show areas of age and some spots are worn away as if played with and loved for many years. She is 12 inches tall and filled with wool stuffing. Please view all the photos. I am kindly asking $55 which includes the shipping fee.

“Purdy” in Pink folk dol

Purdue in pink is made with all the things that make us love folk dolls: repro pink fabric, thick cotton thread for hair, and rosy cheeks. For even greater charm she shows “wear and tear” with small scuffs in her dress and body as if lovingly played with throughout the years. Of course she isn’t really old, just worked hard on her to make it look that way. She reaches nearly 11 inches tall. All visible stitching is sewn by hand. So, the saying goes "To Dogs, you're Family; To Cats, you're Staff. Being fur mamma to both, I can attest to this truth :) With that in mind, I created this fun Doggie Pinkeep from paw print material and stained muslin. "Charlie" is such a handsome fella - with his red bandana. He comes perched on a Bone-shaped Pinkeep, adorned with a hangtag of a scruffy dog inked. Charlie measures 8" tall and 9" long and is stuffed firmly.
