Betsy Ross Doll

My interpretation of Betsy Ross gathering her fabrics to make the commissioned flag that would become our nation's banner of independence. Her body made from old linen is stuffed with wool from Pennsylvania and measures 9 1/2 inches tall. Betsy is dressed in the style of the period with a cotton gown and cotton lace cap (which has been snipped from an old doily). Her hair is stitched with cotton thread and her face is hand drawn with ink. The red, white, and blue fabrics which she has selected for the flag are cotton. All visible stitching is done by hand with cotton thread and is very delicately done. I've included a cotton thread loop on the back for hanging if desired but can easily be snipped off if not wanted. Please take a moment and view all the photos. Kindly asking $100 which includes travel.

She carries a handmade flag. Just under seventeen inches long. She will arrive signed and dated. Created with many loving stitches in my smoke free home, a Sassafras Hill original. *tis spoken for, thank you very much*

"SHEILA" PINK ROSE EMBROIDERED CHURCH DOLL

"SHEILA" is an incredibly sweet little Church Doll. Many years ago, little girls kept quiet in church by playing with their "church doll". SHEILA is 23 tall by 8 inches wide. Her skirt is made from a pillowcase that has been embroidered with pretty pink roses. She also has a cute little bonnet tied with pink ribbon. Handmade by me but NOT tea stained yet. SHEILA looks so pretty in her pure white dress I really just hated to PRIM her up. If she doesn't sell as she is, I'll consider PRIMMING her. But for now, crisp white!. Snow Angel

What’s a snowfall without a snow angel to mark the event? I’ve made my own version of a snow angel out of hand dyed cotton fabric and stitched in all the details freehand with prim stitches, even a heart for all the love included. Wings are made from dyed cotton batting that has been stiffened. Although it’s hard to see in the photo, the wings are the same shape and size on both sides of the snowman. The halo is made from rusty wire. There is a hanging loop which is about 2.5 inches. The snow angel measures 6 inches long, not including the halo and hanging loop. Kindly asking $30 which includes shipping.

*SOLD* Christmas Doll with Stocking

Christmas decorating just got a whole lot sweeter with this little handmade doll. She holds a stocking made from vintage ticking. The stocking is tied with a little jingle bell and stuffed with a sprig of frosted faux greenery. In her cotton dress of reproduction design from earlier days she reaches 9 inches tall with a loop behind her shoulders for hanging from a peg, garland, wreath or pine branch. Because I love the look of frays and pinholes in fabric when creating, you will find those on this doll adding to her charm. She is all cotton and wool from the inside out. All her visible stitching is by hand. Kindly asking 85.00 which includes shipping.
