Tomato Purse Needle Keep

I’ve had so much fun creating these and put so many little details in each one. I cross stitched a tiny tomato on linen and attached it to this tiny bronze purse frame. I added some Mother of Pearl buttons and a bronze heart in hand charm to the front. Inside, I used a sweet fabric that says stitch. I added some wool scraps for your needles, a tiny bronze bird charm and some vintage ric-rac trim. It is tiny. It’s approximately 3.25” wide x 2.25” tall. 4.5” when it’s open. I stitched this on 16 count Aida which I coffee stained. I made this little piece to hang, or could be a tuck as well. I added a silk sari ribbon in a pretty green, around the edges, and a few tiny rusty bells. It has a silk sari ribbon loop to hang it. I backed it with a pretty brown calico fabric. All hand sewn, and rag stuffed. It measures about 5 inches x about 4 1/2 inches, and 12 inches overall when hanging. I thought this was such a cute Prim design. Perfect for Spring. Adult collectible.
