Sold, Thank You Heart Ditty Bag

Happy Valentine’s Day! I love doing wool appliqué so I couldn’t resist creating this special ditty bag for Valentine’s Day. It is made from 100% wool and the lining is a soft cotton flannel. Sold! Heart Pincushion

This month I created a 4 inch square pincushion featuring a primly stitched heart. The heart fabric is 100 % cotton and features a vintage style print. The solid background fabric is also 100 % cotton. The pincushion is stuffed with scraps of wool and cotton so it feels slightly heavier than if polyfil stuffing had been used. Both SoldCrow Pumpkin Pinkeeps

I love creating for my favorite season! These wool pinkeeps were so much fun to create. Each one is made with a different shade of orange wool. I appliquéd a small wool crow on the bottom of each pinkeep. I made a pumpkin pin for each one and also added an antique swirled glass pin. It’s never too late for bunnies! This sweet bunny tuck was made using 100% wools. It is stuffed with fiberfill for a soft weight and feel. It measures 7” x 7”. SOLDStitched Shamrock Pinkeep

So primitive! A really nice reproduction fabric combined with a primly stitched applique shamrock on a field of vintage linen, surrounded on the edges with hand stitched embroidery stitches, all come together in this sweet 5 inch square bowl filler or pinkeep. The backing is another great reproduction print and is signed by the maker. That’s me, of course! Local carded wool was used to stuff the pinkeep so your pins will be kept nice and sharp and rust free. It will be packaged nicely and shipped straight away. My studio is free of pets and smoke.

Winter Whites Floral Woolen Heart

I’ve stitched this heart from vintage creamy blanket wool. The front is finished with wool flowers accented with sparkling seed beads and appliqued leaves. It can be hung or used as a pillow. Sweet Primitive Appliqué Red Geranium Pillow Tuck

I've stitched these sweet little botanical pillow tucks to comfort a gardener's weary winter heart.... I've cut red geraniums from hand dyed woolens and stitched them onto vintage seed catalog prints on assorted aged linen remnants. They’re accented with tiny seed beads. The backing is a heavy woven fabric in the same natural color. They are roughly 3-4 inches x 8 inches. Sold individually.... choose your option. 1809 Ditty Bag

My favorite thing to decorate with are these sweet ditty bags! They can hang anywhere and can be filled with greenery or left empty. This one was was stitched on polka dot linen using a pattern by Shelly Auen of Primitive Stitchin’. I hand appliquéd holly leaves above the stitching. It is fully lined with a pretty red checked fabric and backed with a Christmas floral fabric. It has been heavily stained with coffee and vanilla and smells so good. The bag is 8” long x 71/2” wide.
