Christmas Tree Doll Quilt

Doll quilt made from a vintage feed sack with faded green ink and reproduction 1800's cotton prints. The back is a piece from the same feed sack used for the solid patches found on the front. The quilting is done by hand. The christmas tree with star is also stitched by hand. The quilt measures approx. 16" x 9.5". Kindly asking $75 which includes shipping.

Patchwork Doll Quilt with hand stitching

Little squares of blue and brown are stitched together to create this charming doll quilt. It is set in a four patch design with alternating solid blocks of brown small scale prints. The four patch squares are made from reproduction blues and pieces from an old vintage feed sack. Each square hand quilted in an "x" pattern. The binding and backing fabric are the from the same reproduction brown print. The fabrics have been nicely aged. The doll quilt measures approx. 9.5 x 15". I've included a close-up photo of a section of the quilt front and a photo of the back. I like the back too with all the criss cross hand quilting. I am kindly asking $88 and this includes shipping.

SOLD! 1893 Star Doll Quilt

*Item is SOLD! Thanks so much.* I love how this quilt turned out and I'm hoping you love it as well! Perfect to display on a wall, table, blanket chest, or tucked in with a cloth doll in an old doll bed or bowl. The quilt features a center patchwork star that has been primly stitched with the year "1893". A quilting stitch done entirely by my hand, covers the entire quilt and can be seen on the back as well. The fabric on the back of the quilt is an 1800's reproduction light brown fabric and is wrapped around to the front to form the quilt binding. The center star patch is surrounded by rows of blue and brown squares, sewn in perfectly primitive rows, meaning not sewn entirely straight with just enough character to make it charmingly sweet. The front of the quilt is sewn from an assortment of blue and brown 1800's reproduction fabric. This doll quilt is larger than the others I have offered in the past. It measures 18 x 11.5". Four Hearts Doll Quilt

I'm happy to be offering this sweet little doll quilt with four appliqued hearts in the center surrounded by red and brown fabrics set in rows and squares. It features everything that makes a doll quilt so irresistible! I love the way quilts bunch up around all the quilting stitches so that's what I aim for in my handmade doll quilts. All the visible stitching is done by hand with cotton thread. And there is lots of stitching on this one! Observe in the photos that the quilting stitches cause the surrounding fabric to crinkle up on itself. I love that about these endearing little quilts. The fabrics have been aged with an over-dye and several frayed pin pricks and worn spots. The backing fabric is brought to the front to form the binding which is a common finish from the 1800's. Blue triangles dance across this primitive quilt on a field of plain vintage feed sack. All the visible stitching is done by hand with cotton thread and the quilting covers the entire quilt, so lots of awesome primitive stitches to be enjoyed. The entire doll quilt features details that make it feel as if it was just uncovered from a long lost trunk in the attic. Features include: uneven hand stitching as though done by a young school girl rather than accomplished quilter, over dyed reproduction blue fabric and vintage feed sack, the striped shirting fabric on the back wraps around to the front to form the binding as typically done in the 1800's, frayed pin pricks, and an uneven set to the individual blocks. In other words, perfectly prim! Observe in the photos that the quilting stitches cause the surrounding fabric to crinkle up on itself. I love that about these endearing little quilts. Christmas Stocking Ornament

Made from vintage linen, this sweet little stocking ornament has hand stitched toe and heel markings in red cotton thread with aged cotton batting trim at the top and a hanging loop. The back and front are covered in the same vintage linen fabric but only the front has the toe and heel markings. This ornament has many uses from tying onto a wrapped present to wreath embellishment and of course, hanging on a tree. The top is sewn shut. It is a flat, somewhat stiff, hanging ornament. "I Pine For You" prim pillow tuck

A prim pillow tuck with wool applique pine branch and the sentimental phrase, "I pine for you" written in ink. The wool pine branch is stitched onto an old piece of feedsack fabric. Primitive doll quilt in shades of reds and browns. Just like a young girl learning her sewing skills, the seams don’t match and the corners aren’t square but that’s just part of the charm of this aged and primly done piece. All visible stitching is done by hand. The fabric has been aged with pin pricks, worn out seams, and over dying for some appropriate age. The fabrics are a mix of old feedsack solid, repro homespun, and civil war era repro printed cottons. The center diamond patch features an appliqué stitched heart. In keeping with 1800’s quilting traditions, the backing fabric is folded to the front and stitched down to form the binding.
