Perfect to display on a wall, table, blanket chest, or tucked in with a cloth doll in an old doll bed or bowl. The quilt features a center patchwork star that has been primly stitched with the year "1893". A quilting stitch done entirely by my hand, covers the entire quilt and can be seen on the back as well. The fabric on the back of the quilt is an 1800's reproduction light brown fabric and is wrapped around to the front to form the quilt binding. The center star patch is surrounded by rows of blue and brown squares, sewn in perfectly primitive rows, meaning not sewn entirely straight with just enough character to make it charmingly sweet. The front of the quilt is sewn from an assortment of blue and brown 1800's reproduction fabric. This doll quilt is larger than the others I have offered in the past. It measures 18 x 11.5".
