I’ve stitched this prim elephant from heavy linen fabric, aged it, painted it, and sanded well for a weathered old time finish. It has a braided fabric tail, black beady eyes, and white stars stencilled all over. He has a twist of jute with white aged bell. Very prim and simple. About 9 inches tall and 9 inches long. His hat is painted paper mache trimmed with painted wool stars and wool strip. He’s holding a patriotic cotton print pinwheel. He has a silver bell dangling from his neck by a strip of wool.
