Prim Pea Hen

Last year, we had a wild Pea-Hen living in the neighborhood. I saw her almost every day, but she never returned after winter. I hope she just moved on, yet I still find myself looking for her every morning. I love this very primitive bird - She measures 16” long x 12” tall and is mounted on a very vintage oil can.

Folk Art Bird

~ Sold ~ I created this Folk Art bird with Spring in mind. This beauty is made from a lovely cream fabric with an offsetting breast and wings. Her wings are lined with french knots. She is perched in a vintage zinc canning lid and nestled with paper raffia. She measures a bit under 11" long x 5" tall. SOLD Olde Prim Seed Catalog Strawberry Rabbit Hanger

I’ve created this prim strawberry from natural linen. The berry is printed with a reproduction antique DM Ferry seed catalog print, painted, and very deeply aged. On the back I've stitched a linen patch. Its topped with wool greenery. Inside I've tucked an aged muslin rabbit.. It’s painted and aged. It has thread jointed arms, beady eyes, and stitched facial features. it has stiff corded whiskers and wired ears. It's just under 13 inches tall and hangs with a heavy cord. Prim Rooster and Hen pair

~ Sold ~ This awesome, prim Rooster and Hen set is made from a Cinnamon Creek pattern. Mr. Rooster measures 12” tall, his lovely sidekick chick is 8" tall. They are made from old grain sacks and come with embroidered and painted features. I attached a vintage clothespin and mounted it into an old frog flower holder on each fowl. SoldSweet Mouse on Tomato Pinkeep

This is probably my favorite tomato I’ve ever created. It is very plump and full of 2 1/2 cups of crushed walnut shells to keep your pins and needles sharp. I used only 100% wools to create this. The tiny 1” mouse is made of viscose that I hand-dyed, he has tiny black eyes and wool ears. It is firmly stuffed with polyfil. His tiny little tail is a strawberry that I created and attached to the end. It is 4.5” high and fairly heavy. I never use glue to attach anything that I can’t stitch so the mouse is firmly attached to the tomato using carpet thread. The sweet tomato pin is made by Pink Dragonfly Crafts on Etsy. I also added a few red glass-head pins and a black bone ring. Kindly asking $90. And $10.00 for travel fare.
