Once again I've been working on quillies, trying to finish up with the colors i used for my winter blues hearts. They're created with strips of wool rolled together and they were perfect for this beautiful quillie egg makedo. There are countless hours of work rolling and assembling these pieces. The quillies were then applied to a stuffed wool egg. I mounted it on a proddy wool nest atop a tin base. Perched on top is one of my sweet little mohair chicks. I've added a wooden tag with sweet lil vintage chick print. A one of a kind treasure that should bring you joy for many years to come! Just under 12 inches tall. Created with many loving stitches in my smoke free home, a Sassafras Hill original. *'tis spoken for, thank you*
I've created these aged prim tulips from wool felt, mounted to a reproduction cotton wrapped stick, stiffened them a bit and stuffed the lightly with a bit of fiberfil and some spanish moss. They've been grubbied up for an old timey appearance. They are tucked into one of Matthew's wooden vases which I've stenciled with an antique seed catalog graphic. Floral oasis topped with spanish moss holds them in place nicely. Just under 12 inches tall. Created with many loving stitches in my smoke free home. There are three available as pictured, choose from the paypal dropdown menu. *spoken for, many thanks*
I've stitched these prim olde time rabbits from a heavy cotton dropcloth, stuffed them firmly, aged them, stenciled them on both sides as pictured, painted them with an aging coat of drab brown, and sanded them well for a worn and weathered olde finish. They have a stitched on bunny tail, beady eyes, and stitched mouth. Their whiskers are heavy stiff cord. Around their necks are a jute cord and a large rusty bell. Very prim and simply sweet. About 11 inches long and 8 inches tall. Sold individually, Photos show both sides of bunnies. Pick your choice from the paypal drop down menu. They will arrive signed and dated. Created with many loving stitches in my smoke free home. *rabbits have all been spoken for, thank you*
I've created these sweet lavender stems using a Wooly Pines Pattern and an assortment of my own hand dyed wool. I’ve taken five assorted purple hued stems and added some wool green stems to fill out the pot. They’re tucked into a heavy 4.5 inch primly painted peat bucket with an aged stamped clay label with french graphic and Spanish moss tucked all around. About 10 inches tall. You will receive a pot of my choice. This piece has been created by me, Denise Davis, in my smoke free, kittycat friendly home, a Sassafras Hill original. It’s not a toy and is for decorative purposes only. It will come signed and dated. *tis spoken for, thank you*

I haven't worked on pennies in quite a while and I thoroughly enjoyed creating this prim piece. I've created a wool egg with vintage hand dyed wool and mounted it onto a painted vintage base. I've stitched pennies all around. Perched on top is one of my sweet little mohair chicks. I've added a wooden tag with sweet lil vintage chick print. A one of a kind treasure that should bring you joy for many years to come! Just over 12 inches tall. Two are available... I’ve stitched these sweet olde timey bunnies from some beautiful Intercal mohair. They have beady lil eyes and stitched nose and mouth. Their whiskers are heavy cord. I've stitched them atop a little wool pillow and added each to one of Matthew's little stained pine wagons with metal spoked wheels. They have a rusty jingle bell and jute bow around their necks. Each has a little wooden "Blessings" tag. Just about 7 inches long and just under 7 inches tall. They will come signed and dated. *both spoken for, thank you*
I’ve stitched this sweet wee old-style bunny from heavy linen, using an abundance of hand stitches. Head and ears are stitched in place. It's been stuffed firmly, painted, and heavily aged. It has beady little eyes and heavy cord whiskers. I’ve stitched it atop one of my prim osnaburg cabbages. Cabbage is stuffed firmly, and the leaves have abundantly hand stitched veins. It has been painted, stained, sanded and aged for a perfect old-time appearance. Such a beautiful piece, one of my favorites. Just under nine inches tall. Cabbage is a little over eight inches diameter, including the leaves. Created with many loving stitches in my smoke free home, a Sassafras Hill original.. *tis spoken for, thank you*
I’ve stitched these sweet chicks from some beautiful, imported antique velvet from Ukraine. They have glass bead eyes and wool felt beaks. I've wrapped a bit of jute cord and a rusty bell at the neck. They are nesting in a wooly pine wreath with lavender sprig. I've attached them atop a rusty metal bedspring to make the sweetest little nodders. They each have a sweet little chick tag dangling from the side. Just under nine inches tall.
