I've worked on this Christmas runner on and off over the past few years - I believe this is a pattern from Maggie Bonanomi that was in a NeedleLove book.I used hand dyed wool - the base is pieced with various squares of brown wools in a variety of textures. The vines and flowers are appliqued on with a simple straight stitch with a cotton thread. The back is another piece of hand dyed wool, They are attached with a running stitch.
