Miss Independence is showing her patriotism by holding a shield shaped pinkeep in the colors of Old Glory. Her pinkeep is stuffed with wool to keep your pins and needles in good shape and is complete with an antique button. Her body is made from an old piece of linen and stuffed with wool from Pennsylvania. Her face is hand-stitched with cotton thread and her hair is a piece of wool stitched in place. Her dress is made from a piece of cotton reproduction fabric . Also included are three little pins in her pinkeep and a loop on her back for hanging. She would be an adorable addition to your sewing room as well as your Americana display. Miss Independence measures 10 1/2 inches tall. Kindly asking $65 which includes travel.

Miss Liberty is a simple rag doll gussied up in her wool cap, wool frock, and cotton sash spelling out her sympathies, secured with a vintage button. Her frock has been distressed to look a bit moth eaten from years in the attic with a patch added for good measure. She is stuffed with wool from Pennsylvania. Her woolen frock was never hemmed. Miss Liberty's face is hand-stitched with cotton thread. She would be a really sweet primitive addition to your patriotic decor. Kindly asking $60 which includes travel.

Old Glory is showing her proud star formation of 1776. The color fabrics are a combination of hand-dyed wool and cotton twill tape. The stitching is done with cotton thread. The front base fabric is loose woven linen dipped in a coffee bath and the back fabric is hand- dyed deep red wool. There is an inner pillow stuffed with wool from Pennsylvania. I included an inner pillow so that the stuffing would not come through the loose woven linen. Old Glory measures approximately 8 x 6 inches. There are 2 available. Kindly asking $45 which includes shipping.

My interpretation of Betsy Ross gathering her fabrics to make the commissioned flag that would become our nation's banner of independence. Her body made from old linen is stuffed with wool from Pennsylvania and measures 9 1/2 inches tall. Betsy is dressed in the style of the period with a cotton gown and cotton lace cap (which has been snipped from an old doily). Her hair is stitched with cotton thread and her face is hand drawn with ink. The red, white, and blue fabrics which she has selected for the flag are cotton. All visible stitching is done by hand with cotton thread and is very delicately done. I've included a cotton thread loop on the back for hanging if desired but can easily be snipped off if not wanted. Please take a moment and view all the photos. Kindly asking $100 which includes travel.
