❤️Handmades from my heart❤️

Welcome to Yankee Girl Dry Goods!

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My name is Michelle Blanco.  I grew up in western Massachusetts where my grandmothers taught me how to crochet and sew, and to bake the best apple pies!  The name Yankee Girl came from my love of all things Massachusetts.  I love to use antiques and vintage items in everything I create whenever possible. Knowing that the things I create are comprised of objects with a history of their own makes it even more special.

Please feel free to reach out to me to purchase, with any questions you might have, or even just to say hello; I would love to hear from you!

Welcome to my February update!

I think I’m pretty smitten with these Nantucket Style baskets and love stitching sweet designs for the inside. This particular design was stitched using a pattern from a book by Blackbird Designs. I sewed some bright red vintage ric-rac from my collection around the edge of the stitched piece. I added a tiny pair of scissors with a sweet plump strawberry that is filled with wool scraps and is the perfect size for this little basket. It is 51/2” long x 5” wide. Kindly asking $80.00 and $10.00 for travel.

I am ready for spring! As soon as I saw this sweet trio of flowers I knew I needed to stitch them and create this sweet bag. It is approximaley 7” long x 6” wide. The strap is 17” long when it is untied. It is fully lined with a super pretty green gingham fabric. The back of the bag has a green floral print that matches the stitched flowers perfectly. I added a bright red strawberry charm and some vintage Mother of Pearl buttons from my collection. Kindly asking $55.00

I am in full patriotic mode right now and I am so excited to be able to celebrate the 250th birthday of our great country! I love creating little mohair critters and thought these little chicks would be perfect for a patriotic pinkeep. He is made from a creamy pale yellow mohair and sits on a 100% navy blue wool tuffet. He looks very dapper wearing his red ribbon bow and blue paper sailor hat! His hat is removable. I created a special patriotic pin with glass beads just for him. I added some glass head pins, a silver flag charm and a red button. Kindly asking $90.00 and $10.00 for travel faire.
