Blue Striped Stocking

Blue is a favorite color of mine for winter decor. I thought it might be for you as well, so I stitched up three stockings from a blue striped cotton fabric that was dyed with cinnamon tea. The top opening is hand stitched with an old vintage button and twill tape loop added. Measures about 9 inches long, not including the loop, and 3 inches wide at the top. Kindly asking $12 each which includes the shipping cost. One or all three would make a darling addition to a garland for your mantle or window. Add to a wreath or even use as a gift tag on a package. I don't have any more of this fabric so these three are the only ones available. Handmade in my pet-free, smoke-free home.

PEACE Stocking

As the holiday season is upon us, my mind has gone to a holiday sentiment that seems even more poignant right now: peace. This deep red cotton stocking bears the word "peace" written free-hand in ink. The loop is made from cotton twill tape. So many uses for this stocking. Add to a wreath, garland or mantle filled with goodies, or use as a gift tag on a brown paper package tied up with string. This sweet pinkeep drum was made using a pattern by my sweet friend Theresa Meloon aka Dulaney Woods Treasures. This drum is approximately 3” x 2.5”. It is firmly stuffed with sawdust to keep your pins and needles sharp. I have been drawn to birds lately for some reason so I had to create something for the Christmas season with birds. This pinkeep is made of wool and cotton with special stitches around the wool pinkeep. The red “berry” pins are removable. The sweet red bird is stuffed with crushed walnut shells and the wool nest is stuffed with polyfil. I added an antique glass swirl pin, a charm and an antique porcelain button from my stash. Set of 3 paper mache boxes, which I have covered with hand selected festive Holiday Themed Fabrics. Each box is hand done, and no two will be exactly alike. I do cover all sides including the bottoms of each box with fabric. I have distressed, and aged them giving each of them a unique appearance. I have left the inside of each box plain without embellishment. I love the look of these fabrics! So perfect for the season! The bottom square box measures about 4" x 4". I used a faded looking green with off white kinda tree pattern fabric on the top, bottom, and sides, with a red, and white stripe fabric for the rim of the lid. The middle round box measures about 4" x 4". I used the red, and white striped fabric for the sides, top, bottom, and the lid, with the reindeer print for the rim of the lid. The smallest top square box measures about 3" x 3". I used the reindeer print fabric for the top, bottom, and sides, with the faded green print on the rim of the lid. All stacked together they measure about 11" tall. Perfect stacked, or tucked individually into your displays. I am asking $54.00 plus $6.00 shipping.I will send USPS Ground Advantage. My primitive belsnickles are one of my favorite things I create each year. The face is paperclay molded from a vintage mold. It’s attached to a stump muslin body, and painted. I’ve used hand dyed vintage mohair in autumn hues for the coat and hat. He carries a brass bell and little bleached and dyed tree. His waist is tied with a jute cord with autumn candy cane tucked in, and a woolen scarf is wrapped at the neck. A rusty jingle bell is stitched to the tip of the hat. SOLD Prim and Artsy Wool Quillie Autumn Tree

This is one of my fun wool quillie Autumn trees, created with strips of autumn hued wool rolled together. They combined quite nicely for this beautiful folky tree. There many hours of work rolling and assembling this tree, and a ton of wool so it's quite heavy for its size. They are adhered to a wool wrapped cardboard cone base I've mounted it on a chalk painted makedo spindle base Matthew crafted for me. It stands about 14 inches including the base. I've created these sweet lavender stems using a Wooly Pines Pattern and an assortment of my own hand dyed wool. I’ve taken five assorted autumn hued stems and added some wool green stems to fill out the pot. They’re tucked into a heavy 4.5 inch primly painted peat bucket with an aged stamped clay marmalade label and Spanish moss tucked all around. About 10 inches tall.
