I used some Vintage Linen Embroidered Doilies to make these Pear Pincushions. The linen was first dyed to a warm light brown color. They’re very firmly stuffed with a mixture of wood shavings and crushed walnut crystals, and the leaf is made from felted wool. After finishing they were aged with black walnut crystals. The pears measure 4” high to the bottom of the stem, and about 3” wide at the bottom. I’ve added a few vintage buttons, glass head pins and also a couple of mourning pins.
