**SOLD** Thank you so much! Meet "Rufus" he is another of my One-Of-Kind bears. He comes with the box he is sitting on. *Please remember to click on main image for additional pictures.*"Rufus" is very excited to find his forever home. He has been having lots of conversations with the other bears, and is very excited to begin his travels. I hand select the fabrics I use on my boxes. Each box is hand done, and no two will be exactly alike. I do cover all sides including the bottoms of each box with fabric. I have distressed, and aged this box giving it a unique appearance. I made this box to go with "Rufus" using the same fabric as the insides of his ears. The box measures 6 inches x 3 inches. For "Rufus" I used German mohair in light tan. It was the perfect selection for this bear. I wanted him to look old/antique loved look. I did give "Rufus" a few worn spots; on his tummy, head, and upper back. His nose and mouth are hand stitched. I used beautiful handmade glass eyes in an olive colour. I used a blue calico fabric for the insides of his ears. I gave him some subtle hand shading here, and there to give him more of an "old bear" look. I added silk sari ribbons around his neck, and stitched on a single rusty jingle bell. He is all lovingly hand sewn, and generously and firmly rag stuffed with some steel shot added for weight. He weighs just at a pound. His head is firmly stuffed with a good poly fill for dimension. His head, arms, and legs are all stitched into place. He sits well on his own. I so love bringing these bears to life. I have the idea in my head, but never know quite what they will look like when finished. "Rufus" measures about 9 1/2 inches to the top of his head, and about 7 1/2 inches at his widest point.
