SOLDBrutus Bear with His Pincushion

Brutus has been created using imported German viscose and has imported handmade glass eyes from Germany. He is completely sewn by hand and then tinted with some oil paints. He is five way disc jointed so his limbs and head move. I have stuffed him with premium fiberfill and he’s been weighted with glass beads. He has a hand dyed small vintage lace for his collar. He stands 5 1/4” tall to the top of his head and sits 4 1/2” tall. I used a wonderful free pattern from IG by Tatyana Savelova. He comes with his small wool pincushion that I’ve sewn on a flower I made using vintage yo yo’s and a mother of pearl button. I’ve then glued the whole piece into a vintage tin. SOLD Americana Bear With Starry Box

**SOLD** Thank you! This is my own original design Americana bear. I used plush fabric for him which I put through my prim process. He is mostly firmly rag stuffed, with some poly fil for dimension. I also added some steel shot for weight. He is meant to sit, and sits well on his own. I have stitched his head, arms , and legs into place. He measures about 6 1/2 inches at his widest x nearly 10 inches to the top of his hat. I gave him a bit of shading with PanPastels. I made him his cute hat, all hand sewn. Love the little rusty bells I stitched on. It can be removed if he does not want to wear it. He is completely, and lovingly hand sewn, as is all my work. He is wearing red, white and blue silk sari ribbons around his neck, and I have added 3 rusty bells on a rusty safety pin. He really wanted a box to sit on, and I made this one for him. A 5" x 5" paper mache box that I have covered with hand selected fabrics, and put through my prim process. I leave the interior plain without embellishment. I love these little bears, and each one turns out with his own personality. All my creations are meant as adult collectibles, not childrens toys. Bear my Valentine...

Antique well loved bear. Mohair, jointed, excelsior stuffed, one shoe button eye, I used old fabrics and buttons for his overalls, I believe he has an old nonworking growler inside and he is holding a prim stitched heart. (*Please remember to click on main image for additional pictures.*) I used German mohair in lovely shade of what I am calling caramel. This is another one of my favourite mohair colors. I hand stitched her nose, and mouth, and gave her handmade glass eyes in a gorgeous olive colour. I used a brown with black fabric for the insides of her ears. I gave her some subtle hand shading with PanPastels here, and there to give her more of an "old bear" look. She measures about 9 inches to the top of her head, and about 6 1/4 inches at her widest point. I added silk sari ribbons around her neck to complete her look. She is all lovingly hand stitched, and generously and firmly rag stuffed with some steel shot added for weight. She weighs in at just over a pound. Her head is firmly stuffed with a good poly fill for dimension. Her head, arms, and legs are all stitched into place. She sits well on her own. I so love bringing these bears to life. SOLD Primitive Bear Pillow

**SOLD** Thank you! This is my own design Primitive "Bear" head pillow. I used German mohair for this sweet little bear head. I have lightly stuffed it to give it a bit of dimension. I added glass bead eyes, and some subtle shading with PanPastels. Hand stitched nose, and mouth. I added a bit of over dyed wool in a brick red colour, and a small silk sari ribbon bow. All which I have hand stitched on. The bear head is all hand stitched to the front of the pillow. The pillow is made from a heavy duck like fabric, which I have aged a bit. It is firmly rag stuffed, and has a bit of weight to it. I love the feel, and weight of rag stuffed pieces. The pillow measures about 9 inches x 5 1/2 inches. I don't make these often, kinda when the mood strikes. I think he is festive enough for the season; but could be out year round as well. They are all one of a kind as they each turn out different. I used a pattern I drafted several years ago for him. "Barnaby" is excited to find his forever home. He has been having lots of conversations with the other bears, but still a bit reticent about traveling in a box. They assured him all would be fine; he just needed to take plenty of chocolate for his journey. I used German mohair in 2 different colours for "Barnaby". I love this combination! His nose and mouth are hand stitched. He has beautiful handmade glass eyes. I used a brown with cream flower print for the insides of his ears. I gave him some subtle hand shading here, and there to give him more of an "old bear" look. I added silk sari ribbons around his neck, and stitched on a 3 rusty jingle bells. He is all lovingly hand sewn, and generously and firmly rag stuffed with some steel shot added for weight. He is a heavier bear weighing in at nearly 2 pounds. I like the substantiall feel he has. SOLD "Rufus" An Everyday Bear With his Box

He has been having lots of conversations with the other bears, and is very excited to begin his travels. I hand select the fabrics I use on my boxes. Each box is hand done, and no two will be exactly alike. I do cover all sides including the bottoms of each box with fabric. I have distressed, and aged this box giving it a unique appearance. I made this box to go with "Rufus" using the same fabric as the insides of his ears. The box measures 6 inches x 3 inches. For "Rufus" I used German mohair in light tan. It was the perfect selection for this bear. I wanted him to look old/antique loved look. I did give "Rufus" a few worn spots; on his tummy, head, and upper back. His nose and mouth are hand stitched. I used beautiful handmade glass eyes in an olive colour. I used a blue calico fabric for the insides of his ears. I gave him some subtle hand shading here, and there to give him more of an "old bear" look. I added silk sari ribbons around his neck, and stitched on a single rusty jingle bell.
