My primitive belsnickles are one of my favorite things I create each year. The face is paperclay I've molded from a vintage mold. It’s attached to a stump muslin body, and painted. I’ve dressed him in a beautiful Christmas hued wool with a woolen scarf wrapped around is neck. He carries a brass bell and little aged chenille candy cane. A rusty jingle bell is stitched to the tip of the hat. He is nestled permantly inside a painted paper mache box with a replica of an old time Christmas label. I've added a bristle brush tree, spanish moss, and a pinecone. He is just about 10 inches tall. He will come signed and dated.
