I hand-stitched this mat, which measures 8 1/2" x 7", using Blackberry Primitive hand-dyed linen and hand-dyed wool with quillies. The quillies are 1/4" rolled wool strips using mustard, blue and red wool. All hand-stitched in place. ^^Appreciation^^ The heart is attached to the linen with a blanket stitched and backed with a brown flannel. I attached magnets to the back corners to mount it onto one of our 10 1/2" x 9" sifter frames made from reclaimed wood and wire.
