I’ve created this prim bird from heavy natural linen, stuffed firmly, painted, aged, and sanded for a weathered olde timey appearance. I've stitched it to a coverlet pin tuffet. They are nestled inside a painted paper mache box which is filled with crushed walnut shells. I've added a pretty winter holly sprig to the front of the box and aged it with antique wax. Around the top of the box I've stitched wee brass bells. I've added wool holly leaves and a brass bell from the pin tuffet. It's just about 9 inches tall and 9 inches long, and is a heavy piece.
