I got permission from Marijo Taylor, Northwest Folk Design, to take her patterns that she has available for the Oxford punchneedle and convert them to Ultra punchneedle size. She is one of my favorite rug hooking artists and I love that she is branching out into offering her folky rug hooking designs into wool appliqué and punching. The one I’m showing here is called Winter Rose and was punched with Valdani pearl cotton. It is stuffed with cotton batting and wool scraps and backed with hand-dyed wools.
