Punch Needle Tree Bowl Filler

This punch needle bowl filler was made using a beautiful pattern by The Old Tattered Flag. The background is punched and the tree is twisted wool strips. It measures 7" tall and 3.5" wide. There is a gold, glitter dusted star at the top of the tree. The binding is twisted red wool done with primitive stitching. It has a green wool backing shown in the last photo. Just in time to celebrate the 4th of July, this patriotic grouping consists of a mason jar filled with two star-shaped punchneedle pieces, each stuffed and backed with patriotic fabric The larger star is a pattern from "My Country Keepers" and is mounted onto an antique spindle wound with the original thread. The smaller star is of a primitive shape and is mounted to an antique thread spool. So much fun to create and I hope you decide to add this to your holiday celebration.
