The paper mache' box is painted with black paint, I have added some burnt orange poka dots. I have painted the inside too, then rubbed with antiquing wax. On top sits a flatty pumpkin with a real dried stem. I have tucked some grungy cheesecloth under the pumpkin. Pumpkin is securely attached. This would be a perfect place to hide your Halloween candy! Perfect to make a sweet little pumpkin pin cushion! I have painted the wooden salts black and have added rusty orange poka dots. Then lightly antiqued. The pumpkins are made from some beautiful over dyed velvet, from Fiddlestix Designs. I have added crushed walnuts and real wool to keep your pins sharp, securely attached to the wooden salts. For your consideration, I have made this pretty hooked sunflower pillow. The sunflower is hooked with rich golden mustard wool. I have "proddied" the petals in rich dark reds and burgundy wool. I have securely attached to a pillow made with my own dyed wool in midnight brown. I have feather stitched around the whole pillow in a nice golden thread. Filled nicely with wool.
