Well, spring is here, time for the annual spring cleaning to start! So I have made Spring Cleaning to keep you in smiles! All punched using Valdani and The Old Tattered Flag threads. I have backer her with coordinating quilt store fabric. She is securely attached to a vintage whisk broom. The broom has a sweet red handle, measures just over 10 inches tall. I sure had lots of fun making these cute "chicks" Twigs are made with linen that has been antiqued and then hand painted with dots. Filled firmly with poly. Their sweet little poka dot dresses are made from quilt store fabric. Each Twig has a simple little apron. In their arms they hold their little nests, each nest has a little egg that I have made from clay, then painted. She has her eye on that egg.....pricely little item these days!! To add to your primitive patriotic decor, I have made two Eagle Pin Cushions on Paper Mache Boxes. Each little eagle is painted and antiqued with a little American Flag attached. The sit perfectly on their pin cushions made of quilt store fabric in barn red with added vintage button and rusty safety pin. The are firmly attached to their paper mache boxes. Little pantry boxes are painted inside and out, lightly distressed with and added 1776 ribbon. Inside you will find a sweet little bird's nest with a tiny little handmade egg.
