Chesterfield mouse is one of my favorite patterns to make. These little guys have so much character. They are made with plush fabric. They have been firmly filled with wool. Holly Jolly Snowman vintage cookie cuttet is all handpunched using valdani threads. I have backed with a vintage piece of black wool Then I have securely attached to an antique cookie cutter. I have had this beautiful pattern for many years. I was intimidated to try it, there are so many steps to make it. Well, I decided to give it a try! St Nick and Parson Brown are made with linen that has been gently antiqued. I have made his coat and hat from felted wools. His beard is made with sheep's wool. The sweet little Parson Brown sits proudly in front of St.Nick. He is also made with linen that has been gently antiqued. He has small branches for his arms and a scarf made of wool. All the bottle brush trees and wreath have been painted with Rittenhouse Green paint. They are all securely attached to pantry box. I have painted the pantry box with Rittenhouse Green also with a black under coat.Then I have grain painted a wavy design. I have carefully added deco paper with music notes to the top edge. After I was finished, I added a coat of antiquing. I have also painted and antiqued the inside of the pantry box. I must say this was a challenge to make, but I am very happy with the results! He is securely attached to a hornbook that I have painted black, and then barn red. I have distressed and antiqued for a nice primitive look. My picture is showing the barn red more brown. Just in time for the Holidays, I have made three Nicola Santas. They have been made with linen that has been gently antiqued. They have black bead for their eyes and real sheep's wool for their beards. I have made their coats with some of my own over dyed red coating fabric. Snowmen heads are made from linen that has been grunged with my special spice mixture. His nose has been painted orange and I have added a little snow and sparkle. This is an old pattern, but still one of my favorites to make! Santa Ornies are made with linen that has been gently antiqued. I have needle sculpted their noses and embroidered their eyes. Santa ornie hats are painted barn red and gently distressed, then an added rusty bell. I have trimmed with a piece of felted wool. Their beards are needle sculpted with sheep's wool.
