For your consideration I have punched Will Ewe Be Mine. All punched using TOTF threads and some DMC. Trimmed with wool yarn. I have securely attached to a paper mache pantry box. I have painted, distressed and antiqued for a nice primitive look. I have also painted and sealed the interior. The punch needle piece measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 9 inches wide. The pantry box measures 10 inches round and 6 1/2 inches tall. A wonderful pantry box for all you rug hookers out there. Plenty of room to hold your wool keepsakes. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, I have made 1881 Hearts Bouquet. All punched using TOTF threads. I have done this one in dark chocolate browns. I have firmly filled and backed with some beautiful brown velveteen fabric, with a sweet wool heart in over dyed barn red. The heart measures 8 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches wide on top. For your consideration, I have made Wooly Primitive Heart Pillow. I have used 100% wool yarns in soft brown tones. The pillow is oxford punched. I have backed with a coordinating felted wool with an added wool heart. The pillow is filled with wool snips for a nice heavy feel. The pillow measures 9 /12 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches wide. I have made 6 sets of these Primitive Antique Homespun Hearts. The larger hearts are made with vintage brown and vintage red checked homespun fabric. I have backed them with antique homespun with a coordinating wool heart. I have stitched cross stitches all around the larger hearts. I have added vintage buttons also. The large hearts have antique calico hearts stitched to them. I have paired the larger hearts with a smaller coordinating homespun heart. I just Love to make this wonderful pattern from Maggie Bonanomi. Sawtooth hearts are all made with beautiful wools. I have used many tiny stitches to make these. Lots of work, but love how they turned out. Every heart is different. I have firmly filled them with poly. They each measure 9 inches tall just over. 5 inches at the heart top.
