A Total Eclipse of the Sun

A Total Eclipse of the Sun

I’m not sure if you have heard but there is going to be a TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN on August 21, 2017. St Joseph, Mo (my hometown) is said to be one of the prime viewing areas, so you can imagine the excitement of every resident as the day draws near. Folks are traveling from all over the country to get the very best viewing spot - the front row for the show! My newest punkinhead creation is no exception either! Her name is Luna and she thinks she has figured out a fail proof way to see the total blackout! Such a smarty pants, Luna decided to watch the eclipse from the skies, so she slipped on her Maryjanes and climbed aboard the big ole crescent moon. She will bide her time with a long leisurely ride until the grand event happens! Who can blame her, really?? She even went out and bought herself a pair of Eclipse Glasses so she doesn’t hurt her little peepers. Of course, once the Eclipse is behind us, you can still enjoy Luna each fall as she rides the Moon to no place in particular. You can remove her glasses and her bouquet of sweet annie & sunflower and enjoy her for years to come! Luna measures 13” tall and comes ready to hang. Her features are painted and sewn on – her mouth is painstakingly hand threaded seed beads. She is permanently attached to the Crescent moon. Luna is an adaptation of a Dirty Crow Inn pattern with tweaks made along the way. Cost for Luna is $73 + shipping.
