{click on the item photo to see more} This artwork is handmade, hand cut, and hand woven using a variety of old papers. The background paper is the original white moire textured paper that was in the frame. The hand is cut from paper that I salvaged off the back of an old art print. The ring is a snippet of tarnished silver metallic paper that came from a 1930s Christmas card. I used a copy of a 1700s indentured servant letter for the heart. An 1800s French document was used for the cuff. This late 1800s frame has lost most of the velvet, but when you open the doors, you can still see the lovely deep blue color. The wire easel was missing from the back, so I made a wire loop for hanging the love token. You could tie an antique ribbon on the loop for added decoration.
