My Offerings this month are two Folk Art Americana pillows of my own design.  

 

I am Patty Areu of Hare And Daisy Folk Art. I am a self taught Artist. My work is mainly in a primitive, antique style. I enjoy bringing to life my creations with, thread, fabric, and paint. Each piece I create is all hand stitched. I especially love creating animals; bears are among my favorites. **SOLD** Americana Folk Art Birds And Flag Pillow
**SOLD** Thank you so much!**This is my own design Folk Art Americana pillow. Completely hand sewn. Each bird is hand cut from wool, and I created as I went, so no two will be exactly alike. No pattern, all hand appliquéd. I added a small wool flag with a real twig pole that the red bird is carrying in its mouth. I added a few repairs backed with a piece of red, and white ticking, and added a lot of small stitches around it. This piece has a lot of hand stitching. I like the effect the stitching gave each bird, and the Folky Prim look. I used a faded blue cotton fabric for the front of the pillow, and backed it with a nice coordinating Civil War reproduction fabric. I have firmly stuffed this pillow with rags; I love the nice weighty feel it has. It weighs in at over a pound packed up. This pillow measures about 10 1/2 inches x 6 1/2 inches. This pillow will come with tags signed by me. This is an adult collectible, and not meant for little hands. ~I Am asking $45.00 this will include USPS Ground Advantage Shipping.
