(*Please remember to click on main image for additional pictures.*) I used German mohair in lovely shade of what I am calling caramel. This is another one of my favourite mohair colors. I hand stitched her nose, and mouth, and gave her handmade glass eyes in a gorgeous olive colour. I used a brown with black fabric for the insides of her ears. I gave her some subtle hand shading with PanPastels here, and there to give her more of an "old bear" look. She measures about 9 inches to the top of her head, and about 6 1/4 inches at her widest point. I added silk sari ribbons around her neck to complete her look. She is all lovingly hand stitched, and generously and firmly rag stuffed with some steel shot added for weight. She weighs in at just over a pound. Her head is firmly stuffed with a good poly fill for dimension. Her head, arms, and legs are all stitched into place. She sits well on her own. I so love bringing these bears to life. I have the idea in my head, but never know quite what they will look like when finished. "Miss Bernadette Bear" will come with tags signed by me.
