~Primitive Bears And Such~ Handmade With Love♥️

Hi, and welcome to my page!

I am Patty Areu of Hare And Daisy Folk Art. I am a self taught Artist. My work is mainly in a primitive, antique style. I enjoy bringing to life my creations with, thread, fabric, and paint. Each piece I create is all hand stitched. I especially love creating animals; bears are among my favorites. I hope you will delight in my offerings each month, and find that special piece that speaks to you.

Thank you so much for stopping by my page this month! **SOLD** Thank you so much!! Meet my everyday bear, "Tobias". He is another of my One-Of-Kind bears. I used a beautiful German mohair in black to create him. I used a ticking fabric for the insides of his ears, and added a few repair stitches to each ear. I love his amber glass eyes. I hand stitched his nose, and mouth. I love the wear on his muzzle. I gave him a bit of shading around his eyes with PanPastels. I made a collar for him from an old leather belt. I added a cloth ribbon, 2 small rusty bells, and the letter T, for "Tobias". He is all lovingly hand stitched, and generously and firmly rag stuffed with some ground walnut shells added for weight. His head is firmly stuffed with a good poly fill for dimension. His head, arms, and legs are all stitched into place. He sits well on his own. I so love bringing these bears to life. I have the idea in my head, but never know quite what they will look like when finished. He measures about 9 1/2 inches to the tops of his ears, and about 5 at his widest point. He is a happy, gentle soul. A bit quiet maybe, but a delight to have around. He gets along well with the other bears, and enjoys a good game of Rummy with blueberries as the prizes. I made him the box he is sitting on. It will come with him. It measures 5 inches x 5 inches and is paper mache. I used some of the same ticking fabric I used for the insides of his ears on the sides of the box. I used a black with off white polka dot fabric for the top, and bottom of the box, and some black with off white stripes fabric for the rim of the lid. I hand stitched some larger rusty jingle bells to a strip of fabric around the middle of the box, and added a neat label to the front. I did not embellish the inside of the box. I left it plain. All of my boxes are hand done, and no two will be exactly alike. I love all the aged details I gave it. "Tobias” Bear will come with tags signed by me. He is an adult collectible, and not meant as a children’s toy: as are all my creations.~ ~ Am asking $148 plus $9.00 USPS Priority Mail Shipping for “Tobias”. Currently only shipping within the Continental U.S., sorry.~ I prefer PayPal for payment, but please email me if you do not wish to use PayPal. I will accept alternate forms of payment. ~TO PURCHASE~ ~If you would like to purchase “Tobias” Bear please click my PayPal button~ **PLEASE NOTE** If you have any issues with PayPal please message me to purchase @ hareanddaisyfolkart@gmail.com Thank you!
