Blue Folk Art Tulip on Brown Board

This hand-dyed linen by Blackberry Primitives makes the perfect prim background for this rustic Folk Art tulip! I used blue and mustard hand-dyed wool for the 3-layered tulip, stems, and leaves. Along the center of the leaves and around the outer edge, I added decorative stitching. I backed it with the same linen and hand-stitched it together with a buttonhole stitch. It is mounted on one of our Tinderbox Brown primitive tulip top boards with Heavy-Duty Velcro ovals, which my son made. The appliqué measures 7 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches, and the board measures 10 1/2 x 6 inches. Shipping is included in the price.
