Curds and Whey Primitives

My creative spirit was nurtured and encouraged by my mom, who taught me at a very early age how to sew. To this day, I create my handmades using the same beautiful Singer sewing machine that has been a part of my life for 65 yrs. With my first exposure to primitive decor, I knew immediately it was a skill I would love to learn. I was invited to join a group of artists on eBay almost 30 years ago and those very talented artists were gracious in sharing tips and tricks with me. I learned much from them and from there, my creative mind took over. I found myself becoming absorbed with ideas for my next projects. I love to create dolls, but my creativeness tends to dabble in many different mediums, including paper mache & clay, textiles and embroidery. I find myself searching for the perfect bits or baubles to pair with my dolls and I give great attention to every single stitch. I try to implement the old adage ""Use it Up, Wear it Out - Make it Do or Do Without" with each creation. While I never know what path each new creation will take me down, I thoroughly enjoy the ride getting there! I hope you will check in each month to see all of the wonderful pieces from our amazing artists. Thanks for stopping by, Karen DeGreve
