**************************SOLD************************************** Scrimshaw is the name given to scrollwork, engravings, and carvings in bone. Typically it refers to the handiwork created by whalers made from the byproducts of harvesting marine mammels. I've tried to recreate this technique with brush, pen and ink, giving the illusion of a very old art form. A wooden box measuring 6" square with a raised center panel, the lid lifts off to store your hearts desire. Kindly asking $65.00 plush travel from Ohio. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡SOLD♡♡♡♡♡♡ I purchased this tiny old rusted metal frame several years ago, with its stamped metal adornment and green silk ribbon attached. I thought it perfect for one of my handpainted silhouettes but had to be on the delicate side....George or Abe just wouldn't have appreciated the green ribbon! So I invisioned a little girl....A very delicate 4" x 3" with self standing easel. The bow is attached behind the stamped piece, cannot be removed with out damage to the frame.
