Dulaney Woods Treasures

Stitchery, needle punch, dolls, and other primitives

Welcome to Dulaney Woods Treasures, where you'll find a little bit of everything that is primitive.   I have been a quilter for over 15 years and learned needlework at the young age of 13.  My mother always had us girls making something and I think that's were I get my love of creating things.   I feel so lucky to be part of such a wonderful group as this.  I hope that I will do them proud.   If you have any questions please feel free to contact me any time.

This sweet drum is 3 3/4" in diameter and 3 1/2" tall. The top has been stitched on a mystery linen with DMC threads. The side of the drum is made out of three lovely cotton fabrics red, white (cream), and blue. It is been adorned with antique bone buttons and glass headed pins. I have stuffed it with sawdust shavings, lavender, and walnut shells. I have also aged the piece with walnut stain. Asking $65 plus $6 for US shipping.
This flag patchwork pocket is 6 1/2" wide x 9" tall. It is made out of several lovely cotton fabrics. The flag and date are stitched on a grayish mystery linen with DMC threads. The flag is based on a variation that Fort Sumter used in 1859-1861. I also have added several antique bone buttons that I have collected over the years. Asking $48 and $4 for US shipping.
The flag on this pinkeep is based on a variation that the Department of Alaska used in 1877-1884. The pincushion drum is mounted on a pinkeep clamp so you can clamp it to a table like the old fashion bird clamps. It measures 4" in diameter x 2 1/4" tall...the clamp will make it about another 2 inches taller when it is clamped to a table. I used a mystery linen that looks grayish in color for the top. The flag is stitched with DMC thread and the sides are a beautiful blue cotton fabric. I also have used a lovely light gray chenille around the top and bottom edges. It is stuffed with sawdust shavings, Walnut shells, and lavender. It has been aged with walnut stain, adorned with antique bone buttons, and glass headed pins. Asking $75 plus $7 for US shipping.
