Dulaney Woods Treasures

Stitchery, needle punch, dolls, and other primitives

Welcome to Dulaney Woods Treasures, where you'll find a little bit of everything that is primitive.   I have been a quilter for over 15 years and learned needlework at the young age of 13.  My mother always had us girls making something and I think that's were I get my love of creating things.   I feel so lucky to be part of such a wonderful group as this.  I hope that I will do them proud.   If you have any questions please feel free to contact me any time.

This was such a fun piece to create. It is 10 1/2" wide and 8" tall, The pocket runs the whole length of the piece and would look lovey with some dried flowers in it or maybe a few vintage Halloween postcards. It was made with a hand-dyed orange linen and tan/black cotton fabrics. I used WDW thread to do all the cross-stitching. All the pumpkins are done in a black wool. Each pumpkin has black glass bead eyes. I have adorned the piece with old black buttons and a silk ribbon loop for a hanger. Asking $58 plus $8 for US shipping.

As you can see my theme continues with this lovely piece. It has been done with the same lovely orange linen that I hand-dyed. It is 14 1/2" long and 5 1/4 wide. The sweet black jack-o'-lanterns are done with the same hand-dyed black wool. I used lovely WDW thread for all the cross-stitching. The piece has been adorned with antique mother of pearl buttons and a sweet little brass acorn. The backing fabric is a black/tan moon cotton fabric and the binding a black/cream cotton fabric. As always the piece will come to you signed and dated. Asking $68 plus $8 for US shipping.

This sweet oval drum is 3 1/4” tall, 5” long, and 3 1/2” wide. The adorable black wool pumpkin has been appliqued to my hand-dyed orange linen . His eyes are black glass beads and all the stitching has been done with WDW thread. The side of the oval drum is a lovely black/tan cotton fabric which I've attached two big antique pearl buttons to both the front and back. I just thought these big 1 1/2" in diameter buttons made the drum even more special. It has been stuffed with sawdust shavings and walnut shells. It has been adorned with black glass headed pins and a few antique buttons from my collection. Asking $68 plus $8 for US shipping.
