This design is by Blackbird Designs, which I thought would make a great drum. It’s stitched with overdyed threads on linen, and is firmly stuffed with a mix of sawdust and crushed walnut shells, and a small amount of lavender giving it a nice soft scent. I’ve added 2 wool topped strawberry emeries, both firmly stuffed with ground walnut shells, and they’re attached with an old bone button. The sides and bottom are 2 coordinating Moda fabrics, and I’ve added a few glass head pins to the top. The drum measures 3 1/2”in diameter, and about 2 1/4” high, and the strawberries are 1 1/2” and 1 3/4”, and it comes signed and dated.
