You will love this Sewing Roll. Made using an early blue homespun quilt piece while the inside is of the best early brown. Old bone buttons and aged pins along with a stitchery " MY PINS"...... You are sure to love this little guy. He is a tad on the chubby side and it a bit torn and tattered. He is made from an old quilt piece found hiding inside a quilt. There is just a touch of blue in with the brown which made patching him in blue even better. He has old jute for his mane and tail and button eyes. He is 5.5 " tall and 6" long. Oh, how fun this little grouping is! Whether you choose to fill a bowl with these tucks or use them in your favorite child's or doll chair....you will love them! I used good early brown and blue homespun to make these and thought they looked so good as a group, I decided to offer them to you! They range in size from (2) 7 x 7, 4 x 7, 4 x 5, 3 x 4. Some are adorned with patches and some have old binding string in good blues tied around them. Please see all photos!
You are sure to LoVe this sweet grouping! The Sunday doll (6") is a tiny rolled rag doll made from scraps of an old brown quilt piece. She is wearing early blues and browns w/ her kerchief to match. The Sunday Satchel (9" long) is one of the best early blue homespun fabrics I have had the chance to use. I patched it w/ a neat old blue calico scrap. The book ( 4 x 6) is the perfect size for this grouping. " A Happy Winter".. a darling story just for the wee ones. These books were used at one time for Sunday School reading. They are stamped inside Eastford Baptist Sunday School.
SOLD This Sunday Doll (6") is a wee rolled rag doll with tiny braided arms and legs. She is made from a scrap from the best old brown quilt and dressed in layers of early blue calico and homespun. Her Sunday Satchel ( 9" long) is made from the best early brown homespun w/ slices of early blue homespun trimming. I patched it with a neat old blue calico. The little book (4 x 6) " Some Fresh Air Children" is the best and perfect size for this sweet grouping.
